Neutral colors, timeless silhouettes and unexpected details are elements I would say characterize my closet the most. Primarily because I feel like it gives me so much flexibility to maximize how I style many of the same pieces to always create a different look each time without feeling like I’m stuck in a wardrobe rut. For so long I’ve always felt a bit lost in trying to explain my style to other people. I enjoy playing around with different trends, but definitely wouldn’t categorize myself as “trendy.” And on the other end, I’m not so classic that it translates to boring (at least I hope not, ha!). Finally after picking the brains of a few of my closest confidants, I came to the realization that really what defines my sense of style is a strong focus on doing more with less—wearing the same things over and over, year after year, so long as it’s a different approach each time, and certainly not confining myself to any sort of “rules.” I suppose we could call me a minimalist with an edge?!
Have any of you struggled with figuring out what defines your style too?
